Invisalign

Invisalign®

Invisalign also known as 'invisible brace' is available at myFACE and is the most popular choice for orthodontic treatment. It moves teeth that are crowded, too far apart or have shifted since wearing conventional braces.

The convenience and ease of use have made it the choice of over half a million people, giving hundreds of thousands of people amazing new smiles.

Using the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign creates a simulation of how your teeth will look during the treatment process, including the final result. From these a series of custom made, removable mouth trays (aligners) are made. These aligners apply a controlled amount of force to your teeth causing them to move.  Average treatment time is 10 months.

Lingual Orthodontics

Lingual orthodontics, fitted behind the teeth, really are truly invisible from the front.

The custom-made brackets are fitted behind the teeth, and whilst the patient is still able to feel them with their tongue, the brace is not noticeable to others. There may be a period of adjustment when the brace is first fitted when you may find it harder to eat certain foods, and your speech may be affected, but for the majority of patients this is relatively short.

As well as straightening teeth, there are other, less obvious benefits to lingual orthodontics. Lingual systems are easier to clean than conventional braces, and it is often found that damage due to poor brushing is minimised in patients with lingual braces, compared to those with traditional 'train tracks'.

Lingual orthodontics can be used to treat a wide range of issues, including overcrowding and rotated teeth. Average treatment times vary depending on the individual circumstance.

Labial Orthodontics

Labial Orthodontics

Labial orthodontics also known as 'train tracks' are still a very effective way at moving teeth. We are happy to be able to offer tooth coloured brackets and wires, which are more discreet than the traditional silver braces.

These more traditional braces can be used to treat overcrowding and rotated teeth. These can be more appropriate for clients who do not think they will be compliant with wearing the Invisalign aligners for 22 hours a day.

The average treatment time is 10-12 months, but does vary on the movement required.

Retention

Once you have completed your treatment, it is important to wear a retainer to maintain the alignment of your teeth.
